Nope! It is &#8216;Janet&#8217; and I use she\/her pronouns. I have an invisible disability, one that you would not necessarily know upon meeting me.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I have written poems, short stories, YA novels, and, most recently, a novel that is autobiographical. I love editing and sharing with other writers. Before COVID, I taught poetry to children in grades 1-6, something that fed me deeply;<\/strong> <strong>I hope, in time, to teach again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Books helped me survive a difficult childhood and become the person that I am today. I knew before I could write that I wanted to be an author so that I could create worlds for others to escape into. I still read, primarily fiction, in order to inhabit worlds different from mine, and to better understand the wider world.
